Go To Places – the destination management and marketing specialist -  has partnered with Nottingham based creative agency LeftLion to launch a recovery service for destinations severely impacted by the effects of the COVID -19 pandemic.

Destination In A Box is a new, cost effective, flexible, light touch marketing solution that can be adopted by destination management organisations and local authorities quickly and easily.  The solution includes a new website, help with creating key content, tailored consultancy, access to business toolkits and GTP’s latest research and sector reports.

Destinations will also be able to swap elements of the core offer with other GTP services and products such as The Big Weekend campaign, advanced content writing services, travel trade training and a virtual destination module.

Deirdre Wells, Chief Executive of Go To Places comments: “It has been devastating to see the impact of the pandemic on our visitor economy and we know that local authorities and destination management organisations across the UK have had to (and continue to) make some very tough choices about the tourism services they can provide.

“It is our hope therefore that Destination In a Box will help to provide a sustainable long term solution for destinations that would otherwise have a minimal or non-existent marketing function or capacity.”

Alan Gilby, Technical Director and Founder at LeftLion comments: “We are delighted to be working with Go To Places on this new solution for the destination market.

“The content management platform we will be offering has been developed from our decades of experience providing web solutions for destinations and will be tailored to what DMOs need both now and in the future.”
