Visit Herts, the official Destination Management Service for Hertfordshire, which launched at the end of 2015, has been awarded a contract to manage the tourism services of Dacorum Borough Council.

The contract, which runs for a minimum of three years, starts on 1st April and will involve the operation of Dacorum’s tourism marketing activity and developing and managing the Dacorum tourism brand. Visit Herts will also manage the Enjoy Dacorum website which will migrate to the award-winning site.
One of the benefits to Dacorum tourism benefits is that they will no longer be paying a membership fee to be part of the Visitor Partnership Group.

David Curtis-Brignell, Destination Partnerships Director for Visit Herts said “We are delighted that Dacorum Borough Council has recognised the work that Visit Herts has done over the past 15 months and has asked us to bring our experience and knowledge to work for them and the local businesses. We can build on the great work that has been achieved over the past four years in the Borough and look forward to growing the area’s visitor economy.”

Graham Sutton, Portfolio Holder for Planning and Regeneration said “We look forward to working with Visit Herts to raise the profile of Dacorum tourism businesses at a local, regional and national level.
